As a unit of the Vice Provost for the Arts, the UVA Arts Box Office is the consolidated and centralized box office, supporting the arts departments and programs at the University of Virginia. We service over 250 events each year, and our offices are located on the Betsy and John Casteen Arts Grounds in the lobby of the UVA Drama Building.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide professional, efficient, and convenient methods of distributing tickets for social, cultural, and educational programs and events at the University of Virginia and surrounding areas through careful maintenance and appreciation of both client and patron relationships.
I think the Arts speak to the full range of the human condition, which is on vivid display right now – sorrow and joy, tragedy and triumph, selfishness and selflessness – and it’s a time for us, through the Arts, I think to connect as a community because the Arts remind us of the transcendent and the enduring.

The Arts are an essential component of the University, its mission, and are a leading presence in the Charlottesville community. The Arts are also crucial to the residential experience at UVA, enriching us all while inspiring our students to innovate, create, collaborate, explore, and discover.
UVA Arts offers an array of performances, exhibitions, and creative opportunities for students, faculty, staff, visitors, and our entire community. Significant outreach efforts include the President’s Speaker Series for the Arts, artist residencies, and public-facing programs designed to cultivate a vibrant community that promotes creative expression and to augment and enrich the artistic offerings across the Commonwealth, nation, and world.
