Accessibility

Please find below information and links for accessibility and services related to the Arts Box Office and its clients.  If you have any questions not answered here or would like to request additional services, please reach out to our box office staff at artsboxoffice@virginia.edu.

ARTS BOX OFFICE PARKING

Accessible parking is available for Box Office visitors in ADA parking spots inside of the Culbreth Garage as well as in the designated cutout along Culbreth Road. Please visit UVA Parking & Transportation’s website for complete information on visitor parking options and the location of ADA parking spaces and accessible pathways on Grounds.

ACCESSIBLE SEATING

Wheelchair-accessible seating is available at all events and performances sold through the Arts Box Office. Our staff can assist in identifying the locations and availability of accessible seats during in-person and phone ticket purchases. When purchasing tickets online to an event with reserved seating, you will be able to select accessible seating, pending availability. For events that are sold as general admission seating, the venue’s front-of-house staff can assist with accessible seating needs at the door of the event.

HEARING LOOP

Hearing loop (induction loop) assistive listening system (ALS) technology is installed at the Arts Box Office counter, and in each of the theaters in the Drama Education building: Culbreth Theatre, Ruth Caplin Theatre, and Helms Theatre. Patrons with compatible hearing aids can switch to “telecoil” mode to connect. Patrons without hearing aids can obtain a listening device from the front-of-house staff on duty at these venues.
